Floatation Therapy is available for women in their 2nd and 3rd trimesters, and only after receiving medical clearance from a doctor. Floating can offer pregnant women an amazing amount of relaxation and pain relief.

Your baby floats, and you should too!

Floating allows you to escape the added weight of pregnancy. It takes the strain off your body and spine. It promotes excellent sleep, and sleeping is very important! Epsom salt also decreases inflammation, muscle discomfort, joint pain, and restores the body’s magnesium levels. The third trimester of pregnancy is often the most uncomfortable. Having additional pressure on your, bladder, lungs, and other organs. Many women experience trouble breathing normally, sleeping well, and even eating. Floating restores, relaxes, and rejuvenates the body. It can help make your journey towards that special day a little easier.

A word from pregnant floaters.

“I was eight months pregnant when I floated for the first time. Pregnancy takes a toll on every muscle in your body, especially your torso. Ironically, the times when you get a chance to rest is when the baby becomes more active and its weight continues to put stress on your muscles. While floating, I expected the baby to be very active, but was pleasantly surprised. Since there was no pressure from any side, the baby didn’t feel the need to kick or roll around. It was the best rest I’ve had in several months. I would recommend floating to anyone, pregnant or not, for a time of physical and mental renewal.” – Heather

“I know that floating helped me so much to be as calm as possible during the birth.  I was actually (mentally) using mantras the entire time, as well as visualization, both of which helped me tremendously.  Birth is an extremely intense process, but I was able to meet it exactly how I’d wanted to and I got the water birth I’d dreamed of.  So, thank you beyond big-time for all your help in creating the best birth for my baby! She was born calm and content and she’s been that way ever since! Much love and many blessings.” – Sarah & Samarra

It’s good to know about floating therapy. My wife is pregnant with our first child, so I’ll show her this. If floating can help her relax and take a break from that stress like you said, she definitely needs to give it a try.
