What is Oxygen Therapy and how does it work?
Oxygen is a necessary component to human life, the air we breathe on a daily basis contains about 21% oxygen and the human body needs to consistently have around 96-99% saturation of oxygen in the blood to function normally.
Unlike the air around you, supplemental oxygen delivers a purified natural concentration of oxygen that can help improve your general well-being with many reporting beneficial results from using oxygen therapy such as a boost in energy levels, relieving stress, feeling relaxed and even aiding in easing the hangover effects from a busy social life.
Unlike typical oxygen bars, Souler Float does not support the use of colorings or infused scents which can cause unpleasant side effects in users.
What to expect
For your session with Souler Float you’ll be seated in a comfortable lounge chair and provided with a cannular which is a flexible soft tube that splits into two small prongs. This is place loosely over your head or simply hooked over your ear lobes and the prongs placed to rest just inside the nostrils where the oxygen is delivered.
Once settled in you simply breathe normally and relax. Our sessions are typically 20minutes long however when combined with another therapy to avoid disturbing you we will typically deliver for the duration, up to a maximum of 30minutes.
The Benefits and Science
The use of an oxygen boost has been reported to improve the following;
– increase energy levels
– improve mood
– improve concentration
– improve sports performance
– reduce stress
– provide relief for headaches and migraines
– promote better sleep
– improve poor circulation
There’s limited scientific evidence to explain the health benefits of being hooked up to an oxygen supply, studies on improved sleep and those with sleep apnea has been most significant group studied and found the results to be beneficial. Despite limited research mostly contributed to the fact that air does not carry the same funding as other more expensive pharmaceuticals it is standard practice in the medical profession and with oxygen being such a vital component of life support you can understand why this practice occurs.
Who should avoid recreational supplemented oxygen?
Our service is not a replacement for medically prescribed oxygen and anyone with a heart or lung condition both vascular or chronic medical condition should avoid recreational oxygen. If you have any of the following you should consult your healthcare provider for advice;
